Wineries / Regions

Our main imports have a rich heritage firmly rooted with Austrlian culture, with links to vineyards from Europe. Feel free to read a bit of history about our main imports.Anvers - South Australia
Wayne and Myriam Keoghan established Anvers Wines in 1998, with the philosophy of producing only premium wines from low-yielding vineyards. As the Vigneron of Anvers, Wayne Keoghan stands firm in the belief that grape varieties should only be sourced from their specialty regions; the locations in which they thrive. One sip of Anvers wine will have anyone agreeing with this ideal wholeheartedly.

Anvers’ grapes are sourced from low-yielding vineyards in the world-renowned regions of McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek, as well as from Anvers’ own Estate vineyard nestled near Kangarilla in the Adelaide Hills - where 16 hectares is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.

First-class grapes, traditional techniques, and a staunch ‘quality not quantity’ mindset are the three main contributors that have lead to Anvers’ quite remarkable success - with both critics and the public.
Anvers have attracted excellent reviews both nationally and internationally. Most notably, the winery’s Cabernet Sauvignon received an impressive 90 points from revered wine critic Robert Parker, in the ‘bible’ of all wine publications, Parker’s The Wine Advocate.

McLaren Vale: Home to Anvers Wines

The McLaren Vale region has a Mediterranean climate with cool winters and warm to hot dry summers. In the summer months, the area to the west of an imaginary line drawn between Port Elliot and Yankalilla is milder in temperature than the northern and eastern areas. Being bounded on both sides by the Southern Ocean, this region is affected by sea breezes. Coastal areas tend to have minimum winter temperatures that are several degrees warmer than those recorded by the inland regions. 50 percent of the annual recorded rainfall occurs during the four months April to July.
Barwick Estates - Western Australia
Barwick Wines brings to you quality wines from three premium wine regions in the South West of Western Australia: Margaret River, Pemberton, and the Blackwood Valley. The cool Mediterranean climate combined with duplex soils of Margaret River, karri loams of Pemberton and well drained gravels of the Blackwood provides ideal growing conditions for the selected varieties.

Producing from 200 hectares of our own vineyard estates, the winery in Margaret River produces a range of premium bottled red and white wines. The wines include cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, shiraz/cabernet and cabernet/merlot blends, pinot noir, chardonnay, semillon, sauvignon blanc and viognier.
In full production Barwick Wines will produce over 134,000 cases for distribution into domestic and overseas markets. Since Vintage 1997, as well as our own premium label, Barwick Wines has supplied premium grapes, juice and bulk wine to other major Australian wineries including Tahbilk and Goundreys.Murray Street Vineyards - South Australia
We aim to bridge the gap somewhat between New World and Old World practices by minimizing human intervention and taking a more wholistic approach to the wine production process from the vineyard through to the bottle.

The vineyards are organically managed and dry grown, encouraging the roots of each vine to reach for the bedrock and tell the story of the Barossa’s ancient soils – striving to express the individual place each vine grows.
Our wines are, on the whole, earthy and structured to express the vibrancy of fruit for which the Barossa Valley is world famous.

I believe that making wine is one of the most simple and uncomplicated crafts of all. An understanding of the vineyard’s soil and climate, the dedication and commitment to your principles and minimal intervention in the cellars all help to produce wine with real character.
It’s having the passion for what you are doing. That’s what is important.
